December - PNC Arts Center, Holmdel- Magic of Lights - Thurs. - Sunday evenings in December - Experience the dazzling lights display entirely from the comfort of your car. Enjoy festive music as you drive through a merry arrangement of Christmas lights, trees, and decorations that will surely put your whole crew in the holiday spirit.

December 2 - 4 - Bernardsville - Downtown Bernardsville Wonderland Weekend. -  Cookie Crawl, Karaoke, Night Market, Photo with Santa! Something for everyone this weekend.

December 2 - January 1 - Milburn - The Sound of Music - Papermill Playhouse in Millburn.  A local treasure!

December 2 - Bedminster - Jacobus Vanderveer House - Colonial Christmas Cocktail Reception.

December 3rd - Bernardsville - Third Annual Holiday Parade -  followed by choir and food trucks! Fun for all!

December 3rd - Bernardsville - Polar Express Night at the Bernardsvile Cinema - movie, hot chocolate and Polar Express Dancers! 

December 3rd - Bedminster - Jacobus Vanderveer House -  Annual Liberty Tree Lighting with Live Music, Gingerbread Man Decorating, Photos with Santa, Colonial Re-enactors and more!  Liberty Tree will be lit at 5:30 following remarks by Mayor Jacobs.

December 3rd -  Basking Ridge - Downtown Tree Lighting and Winter Market -  An amazing, fun-filled day of shopping with local artisans, topped off with local entertainment, the tree lighting countdown, and of course Santa, right at the doorstep of Coldwell Banker in Basking Ridge!

December - Westfield - Downtown - Much to see and do all thru December, in beautiful downtown Westfield - and as a holiday treat - the parking is free all month!

December 3-18 - Clinton - Festival of Trees and Winter Village - 13th Annual Festival of Trees.  Come by and enjoy musical performances each day and featured Christmas tree displays.

December 3 and 10 - Morris Plains - Crafts-May Open House and Pop Up Shop at the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms in Morris Plains.

December 7 - 29 - Basking Ridge -  Festival of Trees  - Somerset County EEC Basking Ridge - the whole family will enjoy the themed trees..

December 4th - Bernardsville - Third Annual Cookie Crawl - Fun, delicious, and prizes.

December 5 Somerset County - Somerset County Photo Contest - Entry Submission Deadline - Spend some time in one of our wonderful Somerset County Parks with your camera this month!

December 6 - Bedminster virtual - Author Talk with Geraldine Brooks - Clarence Dillon Library - a virtual Author Talk with Pulitzer Prize wining author Geraldine Brooks for her latest book Horse.

December 7 - January 1 - Madison - Twelfth Night Theater Performance - The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey performs one of Shakespeare's most popular comedies.

December 8 - Bernardsville - Stories and Art with Creature Comfort Pet Therapy - Bernardsville Public Library - for little ones who might be overwhelmed with excitement at this time. 

December 10 - Watchung -  Amani: Annual Holiday Celebration at the Watchung Arts Center celebrates Multi-cultural Peace this season.

December 12 - Bernardsville virtual - The Tudors: Portraits as Propaganda - Bernardsville Public Library - art historian Gene Wisniewski speaks on the language of subtle art symbols in portraits of the ever-fascinating Tudor family.

December 15 - Bedminster - Women's Forum Holiday Party Luncheon  - Clarence Dillon Library is holding it annual Holiday Party Luncheon with vocal music and sing-along.

December 17 - Newark - NJPAC annual Kwanzaa Festival and Marketplace brings dance, candle lighting ceremony, live performances and more!

December 17-18 - Basking Ridge - Sieminski Theatre, The New Performing Arts and Cultural Center - Centenary Stage Company Presents Oscar and Hammerstein's, Cinderella!

December 18 - Madison - The Chabad of Southeast Morris County Menorah - Lighting will take place on Sunday at The Madison Train Station, on Kings Road. There is also a virtual version.

Throughout December - Rutgers University and affiliate Chabad houses in Central and South NJ have planned Light Up New Jersey at many localities this year! Start with NJ Devils game Intermission at the Prudential Center in Newark for the first candle lighting.

December 18 - Summit - Pipes of Christmas - Central Presbyterian Church, Summit NJ - enjoy bagpipe holiday music with pipe, drums, harp, fiddle and more!

Throughout December with some Special Weekend Events:

​Whippany Station- The Polar Express Train Ride - Relive the magic of this classic holiday story onboard the train - hot chocolate and cookies are served by dancing chefs.  Santa and his helpers greet guests and stroll throughout the train.

Spring Lake Community Theatre - Spring Lake - 40th Production of Scrooge - Take a day trip to one of Monmouth County's beautiful shore town's and enjoy the best of local theatre!  

Bernards Township Library - Informal conversational Spanish practice, monthly book and show discussions, Friday night Opera, and that's just for the adults! Are you keeping up with our library's amazing offerings?

New Hope Railroad - Santa's North Polar Express - a One Hour train excursion with a historic engine, musicians, cookies and Santa and Mrs. Claus leaving New Hope PA.
